Back Pain Treatment
Back Pain Treatment at Positive Pain Solutions redcliffe
There are many reasons why you may have back pain. As a practitioner having worked in the industry for almost 20 years, it has become apparent that many people that suffer from back pain do so unnecessarily.
One of the most common causes of back pain is faulty postural alignment.
This means the pelvis and spine is not lined up optimally. It can occur as a result of trauma, (motor vehicle accident, sprains, fractures and sporting injuries etc), damage from wear and tear of daily activities, overuse and repetitive movement patterns.

The human body is an extraordinary piece of machinery. As a general rule, when you cut yourself our body has the ability heal and mend the cut. However, when faulty postural alignment occurs your body does not have the capability to self-correct. This means that when faulty postural alignment occurs it is there for life unless it is treated very specifically.
Back pain treatment Redcliffe at Positive Pain Solutions specializes in treating this disorder painlessly. Even if you have had it for many years back pain treatment Redcliffe usually takes less than 4 visits to correct and get your alignment in tip top shape.
Faulty postural alignment can affect the muscles, joints, tendons, ligaments and nerves locally to where the pain is situated; however, it can also affect other areas of the body a long way away.
If you have ever looked at a raw lamb shank, there is a pearly white covering surrounding the flesh. This covering is called fascia. This connective tissue also encompasses your muscles.
Fascia has many roles; one in particular allows muscles to be attached to each other creating a ‘chain reaction’ of muscles, a continual sling of muscles that are attached to many bones including the spine.
When one of the muscles in the ‘chain reaction’ stops functioning optimally, it affects all the muscles in the sling. This applies tension to many muscles and associated joints causing muscle tightness, pain and joint stiffness.
What this means is you can have pain in one area of the body, but the source of the problem could be coming from somewhere else.
Orthopaedic assessment is used to identify the source of the problem, muscle activation techniques (low load muscle contraction) is used to re-educate/reset the loading on the muscular sling. This process decreases muscular tension throughout the sling, allowing normal function of the spine and pelvis (and other joints) to occur.
The benefits of having your body’s alignment in tip top shape are:
- Decreased stress and wear and tear on joints, muscles, tendons ligaments and nerves
- Decreased muscular and joint aches and pains
- Enhanced sporting performance
- Increased muscular strength
- Increased flexibility
- Improved general well being
